Puerto Andratx is a seaside village in the south-west of Mallorca and part of the municipality Andratx, which also includes the villages Andratx, Camp de Mar, Port d'Andratx, Sant Elm, and S'?Arracó. Puerto Andratx has grown along the bay and into the hills around as well as the peninsula " La Mola".
The property market in Puerto Andratx ranges amongst the most expensive and controversial in Spain. There are more than 30 real estate agents serving an international clientele looking for villas in the luxury range of properties. Building space around the bay is scarce, leading to shortages and driving up prices of property in Puerto Andratx.
There is a very small beach of approx. 20 metres and just off the restaurant mile. Often covered in sea weed and actually part of the harbour, it's not really attractive. It is much better to drive over the hills to Camp de Mar, which has a nice sandy beach and is within minutes reach.
